For Kalvin Sandvig, that foundation was built long before Sandvig Services ever existed. As a young teenager, he worked side by side with his father, Kim, learning the value of hard work while developing the skills of landscape and irrigation. Those early years didn’t just teach him how to build beautiful outdoor spaces—they instilled a commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and treating every property with care.

After graduating, Kalvin answered a different calling by serving in the Army National Guard. His service included a deployment to Iraq, where he gained a deeper appreciation for discipline, resilience, and the importance of family and home.

When he returned to Minnesota, Kalvin continued refining his trade, spending years expanding his knowledge and experience throughout the landscaping and irrigation industry. With every project, his passion for creating outdoor spaces that homeowners could truly be proud of continued to grow.

In 2021, he took a leap of faith and founded Sandvig Services. His vision was simple: build a company known for exceptional workmanship, honest communication, and lasting relationships while creating the flexibility to be present for the people who matter most—his family.

Today, Sandvig Services serves homeowners throughout the Twin Cities with the same principles that have guided Kalvin from the very beginning: do the job the right way, communicate openly, and never cut corners. Whether it’s a complete landscape renovation, irrigation system, drainage solution, or seasonal property enhancement, every project is approached with the care, precision, and pride it deserves.
